Following are the points related to IDBI Top 100 from previous posts.
1. It`s a large cap diversified equity fund.
2. 70% of money will be invested in stocks and related instruments. 30% of money can be invested in debt and money market instruments.
3. Since it`s a large cap fund, the fund will invest in established companies with a long track record.
4. IDBI Top 100 fund is the FIRST actively managed fund from the fund house.
5.FM Mr Balasubramaniam, long experience with Indian Bank, and prominent AMCs handling Banking sector MFs.
6. Exit load 1% for 365days.
7. NFO launch currently. So, the investor needs to allow a gestation period until 2015 (do not expect any returns until then).
One MIGHT benefit from investment in fund over long term, however since this is the FIRST actively managed fund from the fund house, it is preferable to invest in ones which have a proven track record or which have given good returns over long term.
Funds with lower NAVs are not always better candidates for returns than funds with higher NAVs.

IDBI T100 is a NFO, and the first actively managed MF with this AMC, so keep away. Go for ICICI Pru Foc BChip Eq which is a much better option.
